Let Me Love You
Tony M and The Jazz Sounds of Salvation
GENRE: Jazz: Jazz Vocals
RELEASE DATE: 1995
“Let Me Love You” Tony M and the Jazz Sounds of Salvation (1995) is the second recording from crooner Tony Monaco, and was inspired by his first trip to Jerusalem - the Holy Land. With 12 new original songs, including “I’m So Honored...to be sitting with you, Lord, here at your table," Monaco’s inspired and passionate songwriting unites with straight-ahead Jazz arrangements, delivering them via his refreshing Jazz croon that crosses over triumphantly in a musical format otherwise restricted to mainstream audiences.
Monaco, a seasoned librettist, expresses his deep love for and faith in God through songs reminiscent of the power ballads he belted in renowned New York City venues such as The Shubert Theatre during his colossal success on Broadway as song and dance man Tommy Morton. Up-tempo compositions, with the assistance of Bob Corwin’s Jazz arranging chops, exude the great joy revealed on Tony’s personal walk with Jesus Christ. Corwin, Johnny Mercer’s son-in-law, is the pianist and creative cornerstone of “The Jazz Sounds of Salvation.”
