The distinguished dossier of Broadway stage veteran Tony Monaco (a.k.a. Tommy Morton) was once described by Walter Winchell - the most powerful and feared journalist of his time - who said, "Tommy Morton of Lend An Ear, his 5th hit in as many times at bat." With one smash hit after another, starring opposite a long list of Thesp royalty including Carol Channing, Sid Caesar, Phil Silvers and many others, Tony Monaco's performances, touted as "virtuoso" by The Hollywood Reporter, made him a star. Early on, he and eight-time Tony Award-winning choreographer Bob Fosse rented a New York City dance studio together...because neither had the money to pay for it on their own. In 1946 Monaco became a Jerome Robbins Dancer for the five-time Tony Award-winning choreographer.
